MANUSCRIPTS FOR PRACTICAL TECHNOLOGY LEAFLETS -
FFTC would like to invite scientists/ researchers in the Asian region to submit manuscripts to be published as leaflets. Toward further improving its information and technology services, and in line with the holistic approach of the proposed FFTC Strategic Plan for 2007-2011, the Center will continuously introduce new dissemination and transfer modalities as part of its improved operational strategy.

The development and production of practical extension leaflets for the efficient dissemination of information and technology to small-scale farmers have always been one of the Center’s main activities. Over the last five years, the FFTC Leaflet Project has been implemented, and its outputs have been well-accepted in some countries in the ASPAC region as useful sources of practical information and technology for extension workers and small-scale farmers.

The importance of leaflets containing useful and practical technologies, particularly to small-scale farmers in the region, cannot be overemphasized. Hence, FFTC will continue to develop and produce manuals and leaflets through improved selection and dissemination protocol to be able to get the most appropriate information and technology based on the actual needs of small-scale farmers in the region.

The production of P-technology (practical, promising, proactive technology) leaflets and information materials shall be enhanced and institutionalized to become a regular component of the Publications Program of the Center. The leaflet format will be simple, easily understandable and self-explanatory.
