  The website contains a description of the AVRDC vegetable production programs, aimed at improving the nutrition and income of families in developing countries. It lists the germplasm collection at AVRDC (45,000 accessions). The web-site has nine free publications (PDF files). These are the complete Annual Reports for 1998 and 1999, and guides to growing and breeding tomato and peppers.

  This website was developed by the College of Agriculture, University of Oregon (USA)for commercial vegetable growers. It gives practical guides on how to grow more than 35 different kinds of vegetables. It also provides a guide to disease control, with photos and suggested control measures. This was selected as one of the best agricultural websites by GAIN.

• International Network for Banana and Plantain (INIBAP)

  The Asian and Pacific network of INIBAP is based in the Philippines. The  INIBAP site contains a large number of free publications about banana and plantain in PDF format. They include fact sheets on pests and diseases, and several monographs. There  are also technical guidelines on banana breeding, including screening of germplasm.
