This organization is also known as the Organisation Mondiale de la Santé Animale (OIE). The web site is an excellent source of information about the current status of major infectious diseases of animals. It lists outbreaks of Foot and Mouth disease in Asia and other parts of the world, including monthly incidence, with both tables and maps. The website also contains information about other outbreaks of infectious diseases of livestock, listed by country and by disease. Information includes the diagnosis of symptoms, epidemiology, prevention and control, and references to further information.
