Eco-Friendly Fish Farm Management and Safe Aquaculture Production
This book is the proceedings of the international workshop on Innovative Technologies for Eco-friendly Fish Farm Management and Production of Safe Aquaculture Foods held in Bali, Indonesia on December 04-08, 2006, organized by FFTC and co-sponsored by the Research Center for Aquaculture (RCA) of Indonesia. It includes 14 papers from 8 countries in Asia containing valuable information on major issues and recent technological advancements in the field of aquaculture toward addressing the safety of seafood products and the long-term viability and sustainability of aquaculture development in the region, particularly in respect to commercial aquaculture by small-scale fish farmers.
Improved Duck Production of Small-Scale Farmers in the Aspac Region
This volume is a compilation of papers presented during the international seminar on Improved Duck Production for Small-Scale Farmers in the ASPAC Region held in Hanoi, Vietnam on September 17-21, 2007 organized by FFTC and co-sponsored by the National Institute of Animal Husbandry (NIAH), Vietnam. The 12 papers included in this volume contains technology and information on the efficient production of ducks for Asian small-scale farmers, particularly in the areas of genetic improvement and improved cultural practices. The book also provides information on the use of biotechnology in increasing egg production and fertility, and in improving viable embryos development and hatchability.
